Bob Martin

Bob Martin has been working as a writer, TV producer, and actor for over 3 decades in the US and Canada. He has had a long association with the Toronto Second City, where he co-wrote and performed in four Second City revues, directed three, and had a stint as Artistic Director.

Most recently, Bob Martin co-wrote The Prom for Broadway, which is currently being adapted to a feature for Netflix by Ryan Murphy. Bob is a co-creator of the Tony winning Broadway hit The Drowsy Chaperone and has performed in many of its incarnations including Ahmanson Theatre (Los Angeles), Marquis Theatre (Broadway), and Novello (London). In addition to his Tony, Bob has won a number of awards for his work including an LA Drama Critics Circle Award, an LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Award, Theatre World Award and a Drama Desk Award. He is also co-creator of the critically acclaimed dramatic series “Slings & Arrows.”

Recent TV projects include EP on “Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays” (CBC), “Sensitive Skin” (HBO Canada), and “Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas” (NBC).

Recent theatre projects include The Prom (Atlanta), Elf (Broadway), Minsky’s (Ahmanson LA), and the upcoming Half Time and The Sting (Paper Mill Playhouse – 2018). Musicals in development include The Princess Bride and Millions.
